Illuminate Your Office

When decorating, it is important to know just how much lighting you want. You need to see how much natural lighting you have before you purchase any kind of lamps. A lot of people don’t take that into consideration when they start to decorate their home or office. Overhead lighting can be too excessive.

A more subtle way to create lighting that is not too over powering is by using a desk lamp. A Tiffany desk lamp is an outstanding way to get just the right amount of light without it being overwhelming. Not only does it display a beautiful pattern that is very soothing to the eye, but it has an illumination sensory that acts as a dimmer. With just a little tap you can change the lighting to your mood. They make for a great accent piece in any home, especially an office.

Hanging Tiffany Style Lamps

Now that you’ve acquired Tiffany style lamps for your home, you need to hang them with care. Many people have difficulty settling on the right height to hang their lamps. Typically, I recommend that each lamp be hung approximately 28-34 inches above the surface beneath it.

By hanging the Tiffany style lamps at this height, you maximize the cozy light emitted. Of course, when it comes to decorating other factors can change how a piece is displayed. A smaller table may require a lamp being hung lower to achieve the same cozy light. Longer tables may require lamps to be hung a little bit higher to cast light over a greater area. My advice is to start out with the 28-34 inch range and then adjust according to the surface below the lamp.
